Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When a visitor enters a name or location into a search tool on this site, the query is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and returns the results. We do not keep a separate local log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send an email or other message to this site, we may retain it long enough to respond and maintain internal records. We do not share those messages outside our organization unless we are legally required to do so.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, routine technical information may be recorded by our servers or service providers:
- Your device's IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them
- Referring website, when available
- Date and time of each page request
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device. Cookies and analytics tools help us understand traffic patterns, including which Boone County record guides are being read and whether pages load correctly. You can block cookies in your browser settings, although some site features may work differently afterward.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating the site and keeping pages available
- Routing search-tool requests to the correct outside provider
- Understanding which Boone County and Arkansas resource pages are used most often
- Diagnosing technical errors, slow pages, and security issues
- Displaying advertising that may be relevant to visitors
No Criminal-Record Data on File
This site does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal-record information. We publish general guidance about where Boone County records are held and how to request them from Boone Sheriff, Boone County Circuit Clerk, District Court Harrison/Alpena, Harrison Police, Arkansas State Police/ACIC systems such as ARCH and CBC, and the Arkansas Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal-history files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on this site are operated by outside companies. Information entered into those tools is handled under the partner's privacy policy, not this policy. Those providers control their own retention, matching, pricing, and sharing practices.
Links to Other Websites
Pages on this site link to Boone County government pages, the Boone County Sheriff's Office, Search ARCourts, Arkansas State Police background-check systems, ACIC registry pages, federal court resources, and outside search tools. Once you leave this site, the destination site's privacy policy controls your visit.
Advertising partners may also use their own systems to recognize activity across websites for ad delivery or measurement. That activity is governed by the advertising partner's policies.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search providers that process queries submitted through their tools
- Analytics vendors that measure traffic and site performance
- Advertising networks that serve or measure ads
- Law enforcement, courts, or government bodies if a valid legal order requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We use reasonable security practices for the information we collect. No internet-connected service can be guaranteed completely secure, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor provided personal information, we will remove it as required by law.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, privacy or consumer-protection laws may give you additional rights over your personal information. In Arkansas, consumer-protection issues may be governed by the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Ark. Code Ann. § 4-88-101 et seq.; public-office records are governed separately by the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act, Ark. Code Ann. § 25-19-101 et seq.; and Arkansas criminal-history dissemination through ARCH is addressed in Ark. Code Ann. § 12-12-1501 et seq. At a minimum, you can:
- Ask what personal information we maintain about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Ask that personal information be deleted where applicable
- Opt out of certain processing where the law provides that right
Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When that happens, the revised policy will appear on this page with a new effective date.
